-Hands up please.-
"I don't have all day, I have some serious business with some toys"
"Finally..."
"Play time!"
She kept pulling herself up to look at Berret and to mainly attack his book.
Last night we watched some stuff from Disney on the Front Lines (thanks for the DVD Phillip). Hallie likes to wind down like we do and usually falls asleep while we watch something. Sometimes it is the only way we can get her to go to sleep.
She is so sweet, I can't get enough of her. Last night I stalled putting her in her crib so I could just hold and look at her.
She still pulls herself up but at least she isn't in danger of climbing over the railing.
She likes to pick out her own toys somtimes.
She now enjoys trying out new foods. She eats the best though when I let her get messy. She gets frustrated if i try to keep her fingers away from her mouth or wipe her mouth too much. She enoys eating this way and will last longer with the whole feeding process.
Last Saturday we went to the farmers market and it was a ton of fun. It was small but a good size for us and we got to try out some new things. After the market we explored a bit in down town and went out to eat.
There is a carton of raspberries on the stroller and we ate them all before we even made it to the restraunt.
When we got home that Saturday we went to the pool. There was hardly anyone there and Hallie had a ton of fun.
Hallie loves playing in the water but gets a bit tired of us holding her constantly so we got her this awesome starfish float. Now we can hold and play with her and when she needs some space, put her in this float which even gives her shade.
My brother Sam is letting Berret use his guitar to learn on. Erica went with us to the music store to make sure we got the right strings for it. The guitar is all restrung and spiffed up now. Erica also showed Berret some helpful sites for guitar stuff. I have no idea why Berret is making that face in this pic.
Warren and Allison happen to be in town that night too so we got together and ate dinner and played afterwards. Hallie and Danielle are so fun to watch. They actually interact now and steal toys from each other.
The tunnel is a big hit with Hallie and Danielle got to give it a try too.
And what were the boys doing while we were all infatuated with the babies?
Playing games...it cracks me up how serious they look.
Erica made sure to serinade Hallie before she left.
Here we are with my aunts and uncles. Funny story...Phillip had to go to work Saturday night and on his was to work a kid threw up on him in the max train or tri-met bus-I'm sure which. Therefore Mike and Sam went to go pick him up and that why they aren't in this picture. So gross but it really kind of worked out because it made so Phillip could be with all of us Saturday night after I started to feel better.
Computers...Hallie definately has some Garlick in her. Hallie with the laptop that is just her size.
Hallie sure liked my brothers...the feeling was mutual I think.
Phillip is even smiling in this picture!!!
Sunday we got to spend some more time with Berret's family and have fun playing around.
Monday Berret and I went out with the Forts and Berret got his Truffle Hunter fill. After Truffle Hunter Berret and I went to Ikea to just walk around in the AC and just be together. Oh and we were baby free this night because Jill and Wes watch Hallie for us. We also got to borrow the mustang and drive with the top down...it was a beautiful night.
Then we were off to Idaho again.
Don't let this picture fool you...Hallie does not like long drives. She did great though even though she was sick. We had lots of fun in Portland and Washington but it was really nice to go home and work on getting a routine again. Hallie and I also learned that we don't want to go with out Berret that long again. We're excited for our nixt trip out there to visit during Thanksgiving.

Hallie has been growing like crazy it feels like. On the trip where we were gone for almost 3 weeks she grew out of alot of the clothes I packed for her. She also was learning how to do lots of new things while we were away from home. On the trip she was doing tons of rocking on all fours. She learned to move forward with an army crawl that has gotten even faster since being home. On the trip she also was able to sit her self up in a pack and play with the assistance of the walls. She now sits her self up with out any kind of assistance on a regular basis. She is starting to get her hands figured out to do a crawl on all fours. She can get around all over the apartment, while Berret and I and eating dinner we will set her in the living room to play and she will end up underneath the table playing with our feet while we eat. She is now doing tons better eating rice cereal. After discovering her tongue she started making lots of new noises like dadadadadadada.
Showing off some rocking skills.
