happy birthday hallie!

Hallie is 1 year old. We had a party for her and it was lots of fun. Hallie being the little ham that she is loved all the attention. It was time to open presents but she was busy mooching food off of Becky. We had to coax her into getting started. We asked all the guests not to spend alot of money on Hallie to instead bring simple things that kids actually like. In this bag is an old computer keyboard that Hallie now loves to play with. She rolls all over it to press as many keys as possible. She really loved all the new "toys" she got- old cell phone, hat, books, glow stick, toilet paper tubes, glow in the dark rubber bracelet, wooden spoons, and water squirting fish. Thanks everyone, Hallie loved all of her gifts. We made a contest out of who brought the junk gifts that Hallie liked the most. First place was the books and glowstick from Warren, Allison and Dani. Second place was the wooden spoons and squirting fish from Landon and Becky. Here is Landon getting his prize for second place Twilight trading cards. She is all stripped down and ready for her cake.I'm not a big fan of cake at all but I used this simple chocolate cake recipe. It turned out awesome and was incredible easy. The frosting was even good, and I usually hate frosting. I just used strawberries instead of raspberries.

christmas day

We had an awesome Christmas and it was so much fun with Hallie. We stayed home all day, our friends Liz and Grady came over and we played games, had lots of good food, and relaxed. There are a bunch of pictures, hopefully it isn't too overwhelming.Hallie's hands were too full all morning to help much with the packages but she tried.

christmas eve

Christmas Eve we were invited to Allison's gandparents. We had lots of good food, listened to grandpa Jepson read the scriptures of Christ's birth, sang Christmas carols, and enjoyed seeing the girls play. We had fun putting these huge trapper hats on them.I'm pretty sure they are thinking to each other how crazy their parents are.Danielle is done.

christmas decorations

Ornament ExplorationI made some new stockings this year. I also made this garland by just stringing a bunch of ornaments and pinecones together.Candycane anyone?Hot chocolate mugs all ready to go.Felt Nativity. Berret arranged it, Joseph is informing the shepards that it is flu season...Our tree!!! Strung with popcorn, a couple ornment of Hallie that I made, little stockings made by my mom years ago, and a few shiny and sparkly ball ornaments from Target. It is topped by the star Berret and I made our first Christmas together out of wire coat hangers, duct tape, paper mache' and paint. These are from today. This is Hallie right after her nap, it is usual to find the curtains crazy like this.Warren and Allison stopped by today and Hallie got to have some fun with Dani. These two are going to be trouble together.
