grass clippings

Yesterday Hallie and I went to the park.  The grass had been recently mowed and there was lots of grass clippings everywhere.  Hallie had a blast playing in them.  We also played some frisbee which was more like playing fetch.  It was a bit windy but I can’t wait till we have some consistency when it comes to nice days for going to the park.

aunt & uncle

*update: Berret pointed out to me that the trampoline post, I posted the second video twice instead of the third one being different. I just fixed this and there is now a third short video.

These are yet even more pictures from our April trip to visit our families. Better late than never, right? The night before we left we were able to visit my uncle Charlie and aunt Donna. It was a really nice visit and Donna even made us some amazing cookies for our trip home. Thanks Donna we enjoyed EVERY cookie.

tunnel

As I said in my post here we had a BBQ with Scott and Erica on Saturday. Erica took these pictures of Hallie at the park playing in the tunnel. Thought I’d share them. She is so adventurous. (Check out her chunky legs in this first picture.)29744_395942778607_743453607_3926722_5471972_n Completely fearless. Did I ever mention that she LIKES monsters, her favorite books have monsters in them. She also growls alot, especially while playing with her daddy. (Oh and don’t you just love those ears of hers? I certainly do.)29744_395942593607_743453607_3926718_7356708_nShe made it through the tunnel ok. I’m sure she was even hoping for a bit more adventure than that short little tunnel could offer. (Notice the gorgeous eyelashes.)29744_395938653607_743453607_3926643_6664641_nAdventure along with chunky legs, perfect ears, and gorgeous eyelashes make for a pretty awesome baby/toddler. Toddler!?!?!?! I don't really like referring to her as a toddler, she is my baby.

more sliding

Warren, Allison, and Danielle were in town Friday night and stopped by to play.  Berret and Warren took the girls up and down the slides a jillion times.  Those little girls are such a blast and are so funny together.  They play, giggle, and terrorize when they can(in a sweet innocent way of course).  If there isn’t a snack to fight over they can be sneaky partners in crime with their baby masterminds.  We are so glad Hallie has a cousin so close in age living near by.  These two are going to make great friends as they grow up.  Wish we could be closer to Hallie’s older cousins too though,  I’m sure those boys could teach their baby cousin a thing or two.

Did I mention that we really had an awesome weekend.  We really soaked up the sun as much as we could.

hiking

Yesterday we went for a hike at Crest Creek near Kelly Canyon.  It wasn’t a very long hike but it was just right for Hallie.  The first part was even paved so she was able to do part of it on her own before going in the carrying pack.  We all had fun!editDSC_0059 editDSC_0061 editDSC_0086 editDSC_0100 editDSC_0105 editDSC_0114 editDSC_0118 editDSC_0121 After our hike we drove to Rexburg to meet up with Scott and Erica and some new friends.  We had a BBQ at Beaverdick Park with some awesome food.  Hallie loved playing and getting dirty.  She had corn on the cob for the first time but preferred that I cut it off for her.  She also had pork ribs and dug into a cupcake.  We all had an awesome day in the SUN.

beach details

During our visit to our families we got to spend the weekend at a beach house with my side of the family.  It was a nice little break to just relax a couple of days with family and visit the beach.  The weather was absolutely beautiful.  I was a little cold and windy, but that is to be expected, especially this time of year.  Hallie completely loved the beach.  She explored, enjoyed the sand, and even liked all the wind.  The first day at the beach she couldn’t get enough of the sand, she even crawled in it at one point.  The second day we let her get her feet wet.  She didn’t even seem to mind how cold the water was because she was so intrigued by it.  We all enjoyed watching her as Hallie discovered the beach.

These first pictures are from the first at the beach.  The pictures on the previous beach post are from the second day at the beach stepping in the water.editDSC_0509editDSC_0554

at the beach

Wow I have been a major slacker with the blog.  We went to Portland  a couple of weeks ago for a wedding and to visit our families.  We were very busy but had a blast.  Since we have been home we have been busy busy.  Hopefully I can get some more pics up and talk a bit more about our trip in another post soon.  Hallie is waking up though and I need to go.  For now enjoy seeing Hallie at the beach for the first time.  She loved every bit of it!editDSC_0372 editDSC_0373 editDSC_0375 editDSC_0377

easter sunday

This weekend we got to enjoy staying home and listening to conference. It is awesome that this conference landed on Easter weekend, gives us a good opportunity to contemplate the real reason we celebrate. Conference was great.

Hallie has been sick since Tuesday and Berret and I have a little colds too. We are all getting better but since we are on the mend we were pretty low key this weekend. We had fun celebrating Easter with just our little family though. We had a little Easter bag for Hallie and spread plastic eggs all over. We didn’t fill up the eggs, no need for the extra junk for any of us. Hallie just loved tapping the eggs together and gathering them up in her bag. Then Berret and I had fun throwing them at each other. I made cinnamon rolls to snack on and Berret grilled salmon, asparagus, and pearl onions on the new BBQ. It was all really yummy and Berret did an awesome job with dinner. Enjoy Hallie’s Easter pictures!editDSC_0141 editDSC_0156 editDSC_0108
