ready to run

Every evening as soon as Berret gets home from work we go for a run to the park and play.  Hallie wakes up from her nap about the time Berret gets home and at that point we are all in need of a quick snack before heading out.  In the pictures below the snack was oranges, Hallie just loves all kinds of fruit.

I don’t know what we are going to do when it gets nasty outside.  Berret and I both prefer running outside to the treadmill.  Hallie also seems to NEED the time at the playground to get all of her energy out.  When the time comes I guess we will figure it out.

Hallie loves her cousin Danielle. Hallie calls her Dan Dan even though we will say Dani or Danielle. It is so cute how excited they are to see each other and the way they both say each others names. They had a blast playing together yesterday.

(During dinner they were crazy stealing each others food and giggling at who knows what.)

happy birthday

This is all the way back to Hallie's first birthday. Berret finally finished editing it and it is a pretty funny to watch the pregression of the cake eating. We actually made that same cake this weekend for my birthday. It is really good cake, and I am not a cake person.

* When did those babies get all tall and skinny?

*Just to clarify, even though I just had the same cake for my birthday I was fully clothed and used utensils while eating it. Like Hallie though I didn't want to share my cake. Hallie was forced to mooch off Berret and she ate most of his.

My friend Morgan has been coming over in the afternoons to hang out and today Hallie decided to try on her shoes.

The girls playing, which consists of Hallie taking everything I set down for Ashlynne. Hallie then plays with the toy and Ashlynne happily watches. Ashlynne is going to be a good sharer and Hallie needs some work. Hallie is getting better though at giving toys back when I ask her to.

Hallie gets to watch one show a day. As you can see here today it was Dumbo. She never finishes a whole movie nor does she sit the whole time. I’m glad she is not a zombie though watching tv. In the last two pictures she is bouncing on her ball as she watches.

These are from other days watching shows. During a movie is the only time Hallie is still enough to get a picture of really quick with my phone. Her bowl is full of “graaaa” grapes, she loves her grapes and askes for them frequently.

A couple weeks ago I started babysitting another little girl during the day.  Her parents are both school teachers so the schedule it pretty nice.  Her name is Ashlynne and she is completely adorable.  Hallie can be  a pretty good helper during the day but is not used to sharing the attention.  With these last couple of weeks we have all gotten used to each other more and the three of us have pretty fun days together.
