this last week

Berret’s parents were here this week to drop off Luke at BYU-I.  They got in on Monday and we had an awesome dinner at Warren and Allison’s.  On Wednesday our friends Mark and Morgan babysat for us while we went out with Berret’s parents and I had my last solid meal before my wisdom teeth came out.

Thursday morning Jill arrived early in the morning to drop me off at the dentist and take care of Hallie.  During the surgery I was put to sleep and don’t remember them being in my mouth at all, it was great.  It went smoothly and had all 4 wisdom teeth removed and I’m told I have some stitches.  The worst part I thought was not being able to feel my tongue or lips for a couple hours afterwards from the local anesthetic.  Jill spoon fed me yogurt and  Hallie made sure my face was wiped clean (Hallie is such a good helper).  To take my pills I had to stand in front of a mirror to put the pill on my tongue and make sure the glass was on my lips so I could drink.  Later that afternoon when the anesthetic wore off and the pain meds kicked in I felt pretty awesome.  We even went to the mall and did some shopping.  The pain meds made me pretty clumsy though and I knocked over display boots in Sears.  The day turned out a lot better than I thought after having my teeth pulled, I was prepared to be miserable.

Friday I was more swollen but the pain wasn’t too bad and didn’t have to take pain pill till the afternoon.  After Hallie’s nap Jill drove us to COSTCO!  Hallie and I love Costco, it is fun walking around there, getting lunch, and coming home is so satisfying when you are stocked up on a bunch a stuff you need.  Oh and Costco diapers are the best, they are enough reason alone to make the drive out to Pocatello.  For dinner there was a little reunion with Berret’s Dad’s side of the family at Chuck O’Rama.  It was great seeing so much family.  Hallie was going bonkers with all the commotion at dinner and hardly ate because she was too busy playing.

After saying good bye last night Wes and Jill started their trip back to Washington this morning.  Halllie is going to be so bored now with Nana Jill and Papa Wes gone.  Thanks Jill and Wes for taking care of me when I was all loopy from getting my teeth pulled!

Lots of fun for Grandma, Grandpa, and Hallie. Many thanks for taking care of Tanya and her family. Ido not believe she could ask for better in-laws. Hope you trip goes well.
