We stayed in for valentines day. To get ready, Hallie and I decorated the Friday before. We cut out a ton of hearts in the middle of the living room. Hallie thought it was so cool to have the hearts cut out and she kept having me make them. After the cutting Hallie ran each one to me for hanging. It was a good way for her to get energy out, she thought it was so exciting.
We pretty much just had a regular dinner. We tried to make it fun with the candles and cutting the bread into hearts.
Hallie loved the candles and blew them all out after dinner.
I melted down crayons and put them in heart molds for Hallie. She liked them but they were super messy. I’m not sure if it is because I used cheap crayons or if all the heat changed them. Just touching the crayons and you have color all over your hands.
Then we did a video call with Berret’s family because Luke would be leaving for the MTC the next day. Hallie opened her valentine from them. Jill made finger puppets for a bunch of different stories.

Looks like great fun! Thank you for making the holiday so special -- Christmas and Thanksgiving are not the only holidays to celebrate!
Hallie no longer looks or acts like a baby -- she is becoming so helpful when you are doing creative things. More power to you -- have fun with your child -- being creative certainly makes memories to WANT to remember -- it looks like it did not cost you a bundle to create such a great evening!
